I spent a lovely evening at the Phillips' in Tville last night and played with cute babies and other people and only managed to take three pictures. This was the best out of the three... Mallory's little brother Matt catchin some Z's on the couch.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!! Chase and Sammy had a party at their place and although it ended badly with the Colts losing, it was still fun. I had everyone take pictures with my camera. This was the most amusing and appropriate of them but I don't know why the quality is so crappy. I think something odd was pushed or something during the passing around of the camera. I wasn't sure if this could count as my picture for the day since Cohan took it, not me, so here's another one, taken by me, of everyone watching the game...

We had another meeting of the Culturally Obese today. It was epic. We went to my favorite place, Yamato and everyone LOVED it even though we left WAY too full. We were obnoxious and got into their garden though. Oops! Clearly I didn't get the Asian hand thing memo. Next time, I will have the best Asian hands of everyone.

Sorry... picture overload. Today you get two. I also got this fancy new air freshener for my car. It's fancy.

I spent a lot of my day reading this book, so I thought it fitting to take a picture of it and put it on here. It's a good one--a real page turner. I'm only about half way through but I'm hoping to finish it this weekend. Wish me luck!

This is the postcard I got today in the mail from my mom when she and my dad went to Lake Arrowhead. They thought they were all cool because they saw snow. Psh!

This is one of my favorite views of all time. It's the view that you get when you're leaving the Provo temple. Not only is it beautiful, but I always am happy when I see because I'm leaving the temple and I love the peace that being there brings.

I covered the front desk at the CTL today for three hours (longer than normal) and I thought I would take a picture to celebrate the fact that after three years at the CTL and two years of helping cover the front desk, I FINALLY got my own name plate thing. It's a pretty big deal.

Chronic Pain

I have no idea what it must feel like to have chronic pain, but I think I got a little glimpse of it this week. I had the work out of death on Saturday morning and here I am Tuesday afternoon still barely capable of walking straight. Each step is painful and awkward and it takes me twice as long to do just about anything. And I'm feeling much better than I did yesterday. I had no idea how debilitating a workout could be. But wow. I now have an idea. Anyway, it got me to thinking about people that might feel something kind of like this on a regular basis and how annoying that would be. I still don't understand quite what it would be like, but I'm sure glad I don't have chronic pain of any kind and even though this experience has been (and still is) painful, I think I have a little better idea of what people go through who suffer from it. So, ha! It's a blessing in disguise! Kind of. :)

Other than being all obsessed with how difficult it is to stand up and sit back down, today I started at Lone Peak High School. That place is like a palace!! Holy crap! My high school (good old Troy) was a prison compared to this place. It smells like a mall! What high school smells like a mall?! I don't know if it was because the classrooms were new and clean or if the kids all just walked in with brand new clothes on. Either way, this high school is way different than anything I've ever seen. They have a huge knight statue! Anyway, it blew my mind. But it's going well so far. I just wish I didn't have to hobble everywhere like I'm handicapped or something. But whatever. This too shall pass.

We had "home evening" (my ward decided to get rid of the family in the term) at my apartment with another group tonight and played a game where we write famous people's names down and describe them and our team mates have to guess who it is. It was a lot of fun even though our team got killed. Good old FHE.

Me and Kelly threw a superhero party tonight and it was uber fun. This was definitely the picture of the evening though. This is what happens when me, Kelly, and Susan try to take a "cute" picture.
